Face the Music is a TV and Web series where each season brings you intimately into the lives and creative journey of up and coming Aboriginal recording artists. Season one tells the personal story of singer/songwriter Kristi Lane Sinclair, as she pushes her music and career to the next level.
Six half hour episodes reveal her efforts to write, record, and launch her latest album. She travels to the UK and LA, seeks the advice of renowned musicians and plays her way across Canada. Things don’t always work out but it’s all part of facing the music.

Shot primarily across Canada, season one of Face the Music intimately documents the personal, musical and creative journey of acclaimed Haida/Cree singer, songwriter and recording artist, Kristi Lane Sinclair. Over six evolving half hour documentary episodes, Face the Music spends a year observing Kristi’s real life effort to fund, write and record a new CD and define her place on the Canadian folk/rock landscape.
From her home in Vancouver, Kristi embarks on a remarkable, revealing, behind the scenes cross Canada exploration of the indie music scene. But after a decade chasing her dream, we see how her personal and financial life is already stretched thin.
