We’ve been hard at work through 2015 shooting and editing Face the Music, an intimate look at the indie music landscape, from the point of view of up and coming, Haida/Cree recording artist, Kristi Lane Sinclair.

In the first season of Face the Music, we follow Kristi’s creative journey as she writes, records and tours “Dark Matter”, her latest independent album. Over six, half hour episodes that will air nationally in 2016 on APTN, we take you behind the scenes of an artist’s journey, into her recording sessions, and travel to England and LA where Kristi’s seeks the advice of international mentors like Stevie Salas and Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas.

While the TV episodes are still a few months away, you can go to the series website now and get an in depth look at Kristi’s musical journey: www.facethemusictv.com.

Based on the success of season one’s six one-hour documentaries, RealWorld is now in pre-production on a second season of our international doc series Native Planet. Beginning January 2016, Host Simon Baker will again be travelling the world to explore the unique connection indigenous peoples have with mother earth, and their will to protect it.

With episodes planned for South and Central America, Africa, Australia and south east Asia, our second season of Native Planet will also feature a new and expanded website that gives our viewers a more immersive experience into the fascinating communities, cultures, characters and issues we encounter. The new Nativeplanet.tv is scheduled to launch May 2016 with six new hour-long episodes set to premiere Fall 2017.

Season one is currently being broadcast in Canada, USA, Australia and available on demand in the US and Canada. Watch Native Planet’s Facebook page for sneak peeks at our upcoming stories.
